A fake app impersonating DeFi platform Curve FInance has appeared on Apple's App Store for the third time this year. Despite previous warnings and deletions, the app continues to make its way to the App Store, attracting massive downloads and topping financial categories in multiple regions. The app disguised itself as a legitimate tool built for token exchange and liquidity staking in the store, leading to numerous reports of financial losses and security issues in user reviews.
On July 16th, Scam Sniffer issued a warning to watch out for phishing emails impersonating FTX. One victim lost $875,072 worth of vETH by signing malicious transactions in the scam.
